The way food is presented can influence a person’s appetite and trick one into eating less or more.
Inspired by the major role that culinary presentations play in everyday consumption, South Korean-based Expernet translated UX design to the culinary realm through its ‘Eatense’ homeware, described as the “world’s first digital dining plate.”
Customers can tweak the background on this customizable tableware according to their meals and preferences using the ‘Eatense’ app.
The brand explains, “Food really does taste better when it looks good. Thoughtful presentation leads to a more enjoyable meal. ‘Eatense’ enhances food flavors by creating a dining atmosphere that delights your appetites.”
Its digital display changes the design so one plate immediately becomes suitable for various cuisines. Simply use the app, available for both Android and Apple devices, to instantly alter the aesthetic. The plate can be cleaned just like regular tableware due to its water-resistant feature.
