Tupac might be remembered by many as the rap god whose life was cut short from a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, but now, the world will revere him for his artistic prowess as well.
NY-based auctioneer for sports memorabilia Steiner Auctions recently listed a card that the late rapper had illustrated for his girlfriend, Desiree Smith, when he was incarcerated at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York in 1995.
The colored drawing, censored by Steiner Auctions, is certainly not for the prudish. Tupac imagined himself getting it on with Smith. Both partners are depicted naked, and it seems that only the buyer—presumably a passionate hiphop lover—will be able to have a peek at their naughty bits.
The card isn’t all lewd. Tupac showed his sweeter side with a hand-lettered message, “Missing you deeply! Forever with love,” on the front. Inside, he wrote, “Just a lil something to get you hot and make you reminisse [sic]!”
Two bids have been made for the intimate artwork, and it is currently going at US$5,500.
The card is also autographed by the rapper, who passed on six days after the shooting in 1995. He was 25 years old. Check it out below.
