The Barbie-like features of ‘Bo Peep’ from the Toy Story franchise might be no more. A “leaked” image suggests that audiences will meet an overhauled version of the sheep-herder when Toy Story 4 hits cinemas on 20 June 2019.
Twitter user ‘DOAKillzs’ has shared a photo of a revamped ‘Bo Peep’ sans her iconic bonnet, pink outfit, pale porcelain skin, and tiny waist.
Instead, she is seen with eyes alike the style of ‘Elsa’ from Pixar’s Frozen, a pink headband, blue dress, and a more realistic silhouette.
It’s also possible that the original ‘Bo Peep’ will be in the film, and that this version is an impostor or descendant of the character.
The Twitter user detailed that he came across the promotional artwork in an endcap from department store Curacao South Gate.
Toy Story 4 was previously planned to be a romantic comedy between ‘Woody’ and ‘Bo Peep’. Its script was tweaked over time, but it continues to encompass elements from the old plot. The confirmed storyline has ‘Woody’ and ‘Buzz’ searching for a missing ‘Bo Peep’.
