Sorry to ruin the holidays for you, but Hugh Jackman doesn’t have any known plans to return to Marvel films—even if a certain newspaper seemed to have teased at his reincarnation as ‘Iron Man’.
Spotted by Twitter account ‘You Had One Job’, an unnamed newspaper appears to have gotten Wolverine’s Hugh Jackman and Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr. mixed up.
According to pictures shared by the user, the publication highlighted Ryan Reynolds’ viral photo of Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and himself at a holiday party as its ‘Photo of the Week’. The title is undoubtedly deserving; what’s off about the feature is that Jackman has been labeled as the star of Iron Man.
The photo, which sees Reynolds being bamboozled by his mates into thinking that their gathering was a sweater party, comes with the caption, “Life is all good as long as you have friends like Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal. And Ryan Reynolds, that’s a lovely sweater!”
Would this be enough of an incentive for Jackman to reprise his role as ‘Wolverine’, since some people still aren’t able to recognize him?
