When it comes to acing your job interview, the saying “dress to impress” couldn’t be more apt.
According to CareerBuilder, a 2013 report involving 2,099 hiring managers, which spotlighted orange as the color to avoid in your attire on this occasion, continues to ring true to this day.
The online employment company explained that this is the color most closely associated with unprofessionalism.
When in doubt, go with neutral colors, says CareerBuilder, who recommends blue or black, as these tend to reflect leadership and being a team player.
