You’ll never truly appreciate how funny Tom and Jerry is until you’ve seen the throwback works of Japanese artist Taku Inoue.
The artist, known as ‘inouetable’ on Twitter, sculpts toy figures in his free time. His most popular creations are inspired by ‘Tom’ from decades-old toon Tom and Jerry—and while they’ll make you feel slightly sorry for the cat, the character’s predicaments are more hilarious than pitiful.
In a bid to chase ‘Jerry’ the mouse, ‘Tom’ often lands in unfortunate situations. Inoue masterfully replicates these by creating figurines of the feline flattened into the silhouette of a staircase, smashed in the face with a frying pan, turned into bowling pins and more.
