First Lady of the United States Melania Trump famously proclaimed, “I wish people would focus on what I do, not what I wear.” Somehow, her statement backfired, because her outfits continue to steal the show at every scene she graces.
The first couple landed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland after their surprise visits to Iraq and Germany, and luckily for President Trump, there was no toilet paper stuck to his shoe. Audiences’ line of vision was, instead, drawn to the getup of FLOTUS, who seemed a little underdressed for the weather.
Melania Trump stepped out of the aircraft with a green coat that looked like a “mini, mini skirt” to some. It was, of course, a full-sized outerwear, but the illusion was perpetuated by a “bare-legged” look that had people doing a double take.
Footage released by ABC News first gives the impression that Melania Trump had left her legs uncovered, but a few seconds into the video, and you’ll see the fabric shift around her knees.
As it turns out, FLOTUS was wearing tan leather pants, so her pins were definitely not left out in the cold. Case closed.
