WWF Poland and Warsaw-based creative firm 2012 Agency has banded together to launch a campaign that coincides with the COP24 Climate Change Summit, which is being held in Katowice, Poland from 3 to 14 December.
In place of WWF’s iconic panda logo, 2012 Agency has momentarily replaced it with images of the human form, including faces of famous politicians, celebrities, activists, as well as everyday people.
The goal, says WWF’s senior communications officer Klaudia Król-Jasińska, is to spotlight the climate catastrophe that’s just around the corner. “[I]t will hit us hard,” comments Król-Jasińska. “In essence, we are an endangered species.”
The campaign, which comes with the tagline, “Only 1℃ separates us from catastrophe,” invites you to participate by creating your own “WWF logo” modeled after your profile picture.
On its campaign website, keen parties can not only custom create t-shirts bearing their portrait with the words, “I’m an endangered species,” but also sign the petition, send an e-mail calling for the Polish government to take action against climate change now, and show further support for WWF.
