Priyanka Chopra was a vision at her weekend-long wedding ceremony with Nick Jonas at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. She graced the affair—documented by People magazine—with two looks: a red lehenga for her Hindu wedding, and a hand-beaded gown with a dramatically long veil for her Christian wedding.
It was her second outfit that had filled the internet with un-bridaled laughter.
Chopra stepped out in a hand-embroidered Ralph Lauren gown, but the public was instead fixated on the over-the-top tulle veil that trailed 75 feet behind her. The headpiece had to be held by six assistants.
“Priyanka Chopra’s veil is bigger and brighter than my future,” said Twitter user ‘foutted’. “May your bank balance in 2019 be as extra as Priyanka’s veil,” teased ‘aleyakassam’.
Others joked that the veil could find a new life as a tent or mosquito net.
May her union with Nick Jonas be as eternal as the veil that descended from her head.
